The company’s other branches are Cocoon Booking (for Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Josh Wink etc. and Cocoon Clubbing, which organises club events as well as outdoor events and tours. Since July 2004, Cocoon also runs its own Club, located in Frankfurt, and being one of the most innovative club locations worldwide.

Sven founded Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The musical style of the releases is mainly Techno.

RJD2 was born in Eugene, Oregon, and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was signed to the Definitive Jux label where he released two largely instrumental hip hop albums and has produced tracks for many prominent rappers. However, he has now left Def Jux and has signed with XL Recordings. His 2007 album, The Third Hand, is a striking departure from his usual style and features RJD2 singing and playing instruments on nearly every track.
In 2009, RJD2 established his own label, RJ’s Electrical Connections and reissued three early records as well as a box set. In January 2010, RJD2 released his latest full-length album “The Colossus”.

The tracks are taken from the labels recent Rekids Revolution Mix CD, described by DJMag as “A defining sonic document from one of this era’s defining labels”. We are big fans of Rekids at Touch Mix and delighted to bring you an edition featuring tracks from one of our favorite labels.
