Deadmau5
Deadmau5 aka Joel Zimmermann is a very busy man. If he is not touring the world bringing his unique live show to his fans, he is locked away working on his music. Recently he took 5 minutes out of his busy schedule to answer some questions for us…
Everyone has a favorite place to play, where is yours and why?
“This is a tough question as I have played many in the last 12 months. The Zuk in Singapore was amazing and Glastonbury was superb. There are so many good places to play.”
What was the first electronic music you heard that made you go “I want make this music my life”?
“I would have to say I love listening to Radiohead and Boards of Canada.”
Who excites you musically at the moment and why?
“To be honest, I don’t have much time to listen to new music at the moment. My management and record company have had me firmly locked away finishing my new album.”
You are constantly on the road, touring, travelling…how do you find the time to focus on your music and be so prolific?
“I get very little time off. I do nothing else but make music which is my biggest passion in life.”
What can we expect from you over the next while?
“The new album is out in October and is called For Lack Of A Better Name, The new single is Ghosts and Stuff out in the middle of September with Rob Swire and the show is having new visuals and aspects created”
Thanks for taking the time out Joel and we look forward to hearing the new album in October.

Tuesday Nov 10th The big Z is coming here to Cybertribe land. We have been doing shows for over 10 years. The past few years we have started back strong & working hard to get back to VIBE we once had. A VIBE that comes off you & through your music for this day & time. Are you the spark. If you build it they will come. Here you are. Been working real hard for you as much as you do for the people. respect ~bushy
